Last night we went to dinner with friends to Patrizia‘s and man oh man, did we eat, and drink…so much…got a little wild fas t. We did family style and they just kept on bringing food…we had at least 8 appetizers, chicken parm, steak, pasta, salad, and then a huge dessert plate. Oh yea, and the wine was included…

This morning we are licking our wounds, but it was worth it. If you are ever in the area, go to Patrizia’s, it’s amazing.

Hot Chocolate Day

I never know when hot chocolate day is going to come…but when it does, I lose my cool. I’m basically Stanley Hudson! Once or twice a year 30 Rock does a hot chocolate tasting where all the best places (godiva, potbelly, bouchon) give away free hc…and oh man, is it magnificent. I know, I know, it’s only hot chocolate, but anything to help make work feel a little happier right?

Tonight and tomorrow we have dinner with friends, and then home for the weekend to celebrate my Dad’s birthday!

Yesterday I was home with a sore throat and Jay had his work from home day…the video below was by far the best part of the day (though dinner was a close second)…

oh bang!

I cut my bangs this weekend! I feel like my old self again, but oh man…now I have bangs?! This is pretty much the only news from the weekend (ha). We watched movies (Flight, Argo, Side by Side, Celeste & Jesse Forever), I then cried about C&J Forever for hours, hung around with the puppy, and I cooked a huge meal last night for the Oscars (meatballs, pasta fagioli). It was so nice to have a lazy weekend in the apartment together. Here are a few pictures from the weekend…

Valentine

Since we just had an extended vacation we are going to forgo a big valentine’s…we’re planning on a nice night of take out and relaxing. I wish Rondo was home though for his first valentine’s day with us, but I will see that little man tomorrow night!

Vacation #1 (video)

We are back! Vacation couldn’t have been better! We relaxed, ate a weird amount of food, drank an even weirder amount of frozen drinks, and enjoyed being in the sun with just each other for 12 days. Yea, that’s right, 12! Nemo (evil fishy storm) had all flights cancelled, so we ended up with 4 extra days in paradise (this is after 8 hours of phone calls with the airline, hotel, and travel company).

I took 400 pictures, not like 400, actually 400. I am going to sift through them tonight and post some of our favorites. In the meantime here are a few from my iphone and at the bottom a video I made (it’s my first try at making one!)…

We have had a wild week. Between getting everything done at work, packed at home, Rondo dropped off (and sick last weekend), and I haven’t been feeling all that well, it has been really stressful…but tomorrow we are off to paradise for a week of nothing but sunshine and fun!

One week left until we leave for vacation! YAY! All we have to do is get through 5 more days of work and we are done. I have a countless number of things to do before we leave…I need to make around 476 lists (maybe more) of things we need for the hotel, beach, flight, not to mention packing up our little babe for a week-long stay at his 3 wonderful aunts house (thank you girls). I know, I know, he’s a dog…but…

…how do I say goodbye to that face?!

I have a feeling once we look like these people again ↓↓↓

…all sunny, happy, not being pushed by strangers on the subway, or obsessively checking our iphones, we will find a way to get through it!
