Today I got to meet up with my favorite lunch friend of all time. I have missed her so much since she went to her new job! It is a beautiful day in NYC we thought so we would have a delicious/horrible for us lunch outside.

We met up in Bryant Park for LT Burger…and oh man, it was unreal. I do feel like I may die at any moment as I am digesting, but I think it was worth it!

Erin, we will forever eat too much for our bodies to handle…but I’m so happy I can depend on you to do it over and over again with me!

Saturday was Jay’s birthday! We had a great time getting together with friends at Crown Vic, and celebrating not only his birthday but our engagement! I had so much fun I forgot to take many pictures…oops.

And the second birthday boy is Rondo! I can’t believe our little Rondo monster is 1! Love these boys so much ❤

Last night we went to see Frightened Rabbit at Terminal 5. T5 may be the worst venue ever (or maybe I’m just too short), but the show was fantastic! Also, we got to go with my brother and his gf and some friends which was so fun. Loved having them in the city for the night!

culinary institute

Last night my friend Erin and I took a wine, cheese, and meats of Italy class at the Institute of Culinary Education…it was so. much. fun. We learned all about the different grapes, regions of Italy, the different textures, flavors, and aromas of not only the wine, but cheese and salumi. We had a great time pairing the wine with the food (obviously), and learning at the same time!

I would recommend this class to anyone! I want to take so many more now! Thanks so much M&D for this great gift.

birthday party

Well, the birthday is over and I made it out alive! I had such a great time on Friday and Saturday celebrating! Friday was a snowy mess! I ate way too many treats, went out with friends from work, and then came home and hung out with poor sick Jay. Saturday was my party at Spritzenhaus…what a great time! Thank you to everyone who came! I know Brooklyn isn’t always the easiest to get to and I really appreciate you all coming and partying the day away! Here are (way too many) pictures from the past couple days…and yes, all the food was mine and eaten within 48 hours…

cookie time

On Sunday I thought I was going to go nuts if I didn’t eat a cookie! I was too tired (ok, lazy) to bundle up and go buy cookies at the store…then I realized, I had everything I needed to make cookies at home. They were so easy, ready in about 20 minutes, and delicious!! You can find the easy recipe here. I skipped the nuts and added some cinnamon. Mmm…

I then ate at least 11 of these and had a tummy ache…oh well, it was worth it!

the 60th!

This weekend was Dad’s 60th birthday dinner! We had a great time seeing friends that are more like family, and celebrating with him. Jay and I traveled home early Saturday morning and within 5 hours ate two huge meals out with my family…nothing like home! I wish we could have stayed longer, but the short time we had there was a blast (rondo was loving life too with his bff kitty caesar).
