party in the city where the heat is on

Well, I’m back from Miami, and it’s hard to be home in the cold!  It was such a fantastic trip filled with best friends, an insane amount of drinks, the beautiful ocean, hot weather, delicious food, and so much love.  I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky to have these 7 girls in my life.

We spent our first day at the beach swimming and tanning, and that night at Story, which is hands down the craziest club I have ever been to!  We met this awesome promoter on the beach who got us in VIP and it’s a bit blurry from there!  (Adie, you are a trooper and my life savor!)

Friday we were at the beach and then (yay!) everyone was finally all together.

Saturday was definitely one of my favorite days of all time.  The girls rented a cabana and Fontainebleau for the day, which is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen.  The cabana was right by one of the pools, there was a pool party, amazing service, celebs, and everything you could possibly think of to have the perfect day in Miami.

We all had a bit of a freak out when we saw Anne Hathaway.  Normally I can keep my cool,  celebs came in and out of Rolling Stone all the time…and I have been pretty adamant on disliking her, but she was so beautiful in person, and really friendly.  My mind has been changed!

I have to say the biggest thank you to this little babe above.  Kate, you did the most amazing job organizing and planning this weekend.  It was such a blast!  I love you unconditionally and can’t wait to see you again so soon. xo.

Now, let’s get warm up here Massachusetts, I can’t take this winter much longer.

England

A little update! We’ve been in England for the past week traveling all around to London, Bristol, Bath, Lymington, and now back to London to finish the trip. There have been quite a few hiccups (popped a tire, stuck on a bus, no trains, lost reservations, and even Rose being hit by a door in the head!) regardless, we have been having a great time!

Here are a few iPhone pics I thought I’d share. Many more to come (and a video too) sometime next week!

Vacation #2 (pictures)

So, I didn’t get to this yesterday like I said I would, but finally here are some of the pictures from our vacation (there are so many!).  We really couldn’t have had a better time.  Between all of the restaurants, the perfect hotel grounds, our amazing suite, private pool area, spa, white sand, and unbelievably aqua water, we were in heaven…despite the cancellation of our flight, hours on the phone, the frustration that goes with cancelled plans, and a bit of a travelers bug it all worked out in the end and is a vacation we will both look back on with love…

I think that is enough for now!  I will most likely not be able to stop myself and post 80 more at some point.

Tonight I go pick up Rondo and spend the weekend with my family for my brother’s birthday (my brother who is totally kicking butt right now with his phd program acceptance rate). Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

This weekend…

For the first time in 4 weeks, Jay and I were both home for the weekend together.  It was fantastic.  We were able to take naps, watch movies, eat dinner with friends, and enjoy spending time alone together doing nothing.  Here is a bit about our weekend…

FRIDAY

Friday we had dinner with our friends Reggie and Emily at Dressler. Emily was planning a surprise party for Reggie on Saturday, so to throw off the scent we had a dinner full of unbelievable food and lies about plans.  I had the most amazing artichoke, steak, crabcake, veal cheek (sounds gross but it’s insanely delicious), and peach cake with cream.  Mmm.

SATURDAY

Saturday we went on a big walk with Rondo to the dog park and let him run out all of his energy so we could enjoy the day napping.  On the way back we went to a street fair in our neighborhood where Rondo met more puppies to play with and we got to relax in colorful chairs without any cars.  When we got home we all slept in bed…look at those cuties!

Later that night we had the surprise party which couldn’t have gone better.  He was completely shocked (pictures to come).

SUNDAY

Sunday was our nothing day.  Rondo and I went on a walk down to the pier and enjoyed the skyline and some pretty houses, Jay watched football with his favorite fan, we ate a ton of junk, and watched a couple movies (so lazy!).  My kind of day!
