Well, as you can imagine life has been a bit crazy here, doesn’t allow for to much blogging (or anything) time! In a few short days our girls are going to be 6 months old, and I’m truly not sure how that happened. Everyone says time flies, but it really has…not to say there weren’t some long days…such long days (like when our ac broke and we were sleeping on our living room floor right after coming home from the hospital, healing from my surgery, all crazed up on blood pressure meds, and driving an hour+ each way everyday to see our girls for 3 weeks…but those are all their own separate stories).

V & E grow every single day, they are rolling, laughing, grabbing, eating, and constantly wanting to play and snuggle. I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the amount of insane love I could have for not one, but two people. These past 6 months have been the most insane, complicated, tiring, and fantastic of my life. So here are some of my favorites from these past few months, I can’t wait to see what is coming next.

Since I last posted (over a month ago eek!) we went to Florida, I was in NJ, NYC, we celebrated my birthday, Jay was in California, I picked up my wedding dress, the girls dresses, and this week I’m off to Miami! It has been a winter of traveling around, with more to come. Wanted to share some pictures from our travels lately:

This weekend we had our details appointment at our venue. I still can’t believe how much there is to do. When I get one thing done, four new things appear! June is going to be here before we know it. My parents met us in CT to see the Barns, our hotels, and have lunch. I really miss having them close by so it was really great they came up!

Our invitations are basically all ready to be mailed out, which was a massive project. They are addressed and stuffed, now all we need is for the actual stamps to come in the mail. I’m really happy with how they turned out and will share some pictures once they are sent/received (don’t want to show what they look like until everyone has seen in person!).

I’ve also been getting a lot better at knitting! Each thing I make is a little better than the one before (and with wayyyy less mistakes). This past week I made a headband and a little hat for our Nephew (who comes in JULY!!!! ❤ ❤ J+D)

And of course since it is Valentine’s this Friday, I have been downing all kinds of treats…

Just 9 days until we are out of this cold in Florida! Thank God…it’s so cold here I don’t think I can take it much longer.

I can’t believe we are already coming to the end of January. Since Thanksgiving we have been non-stop, with holidays, friends, parties, wedding planning, work, and everything in-between. There is too much to write about but I thought I would share some pictures from lately (since I’ve been so bad at keeping up on here). As we get closer to wedding time I want to share a lot more of the planning and inspirations I have had, that’s something I really want to do in 2014, that and good posture…I think the first will be easier!

This weekend we have our tasting! I am (we are) looking forward to trying all the different food and pick our menu, this way I can order invites. The wedding is creeping up and I have so much to do! Not complaining at all though, it has been such an exciting time and I love nothing more than organizing so it’s been beyond fun (though definitely stressful!).

Celtics

Last night we went to the Celtics game which was great! Jay’s family has season tickets and we are so lucky to get to use them! Fun Monday night, problem is it made me think today was Friday and it’s Tuesday…yuck.

I was in NYC again last week for work for only 24 hours but I was able to cram in two lunches with my favorite lunch partner, and most importantly found my bridesmaid dresses with Lauren and Adie! I wish I could share pictures of that, but it’s a secret (plus, I was able to try on my dress next to them so I really can’t share any pics!). Here are some other pics from life lately…

Horrible at keeping up

I have been horrible at keeping this updated! I thought when we moved I would have a ton of time to do nothing, but that couldn’t be less true. Between visitors and the wedding, I’m busier than I was in Brooklyn.

(Mike and Ashley came for the weekend! We had so much fun enjoying Boston and having them around. Move up here guys!!)

(Jay found a turtle and we decided to keep her. Turns out she is endangered in Mass and we are supposed to turn her in, but I don’t want to let her go!).

I have been trying new recipes and have a bunch I want to share. Plus I have been doing a ton of wedding crafts that I will share too. Just have to get myself on here and posting.

If we thought life was going to calm down moving out of the city, boy were we wrong. We have been running around seeing friends, getting our house together, planning the wedding (we have a date!), Jay started his new job, we went to Maine and Newport, we’ve been hiking, we have had visitors (and have more this weekend), and we’re getting in the swing of things up here. Overall, it has been a really great transition and we are loving it up here (plus, I can go to the grocery store and buy more than 5 things at at time…say what!?)
